What's It About?
This site offers audio animated storybooks toddlers can click through to hear stories about such things as penguins eating pizza and a baby robot who can't stop vomiting on his older brother. Besides this somewhat unusual literary fare, there are games to help tykes learn colors, counting, and the letters of the alphabet. Printable coloring pages offer many pictures to choose from: shapes, small words, telling time, holidays, and more. Speaking of holidays, there's also a section of themed games, coloring pages, and handy links for more than 10 special times throughout the year.
Is It Any Good?
This site would be better without the distracting animated ads. That aside, some of the storybooks are exceptionally cute, and it's fun to hear different voices reading them. A neat new feature gives kids a chance to get creative: They choose a story and submit a drawing along with their first name, and voill! -- a personalized storybook!
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about which games and stories kids like best. Is it more fun to read stories on the computer or in books? What about coloring and playing games? Families can also talk about Web site navigation. What should kids do if they lose their way? Have they tried using the "back" button to retrace their steps? Have new pages opened up on top of where they started?
