Attend a Common Sense Presentation

Common Sense Media staff members frequently facilitate presentations for parent and educator groups around the country. The presenters provide an overview of today’s media landscape, how it has changed over the past several decades, and how the Internet has changed—both positively and negatively—the way kids learn, make decisions, and socialize. The presenter discusses 21st century skills, virtual worlds, social networking sites, commercialism, cyberbullying, sexual predators, the influence of media on kids’ health and development, and the ethical implications of kids’ digital media use. Expert guidance on how to raise kids who are safe, smart, and responsible Internet users and creators is also offered.
